Small Groups

The Destiny Finder Small Group Program with the integrated Journey Guide PRO tool is a unique study and application series for small groups that helps people discover and fulfill God’s calling for their lives, leads people into spiritual maturity and service, provides real community, develops leaders, and facilitates reaching new people.

It has four components:

  • Videos: Eight 30-min. teachings by Dr. Michael Brodeur, Destiny Finder Founder, cover the Destiny Finder process.
  • Documents: Workbook, Leader Guide, Handout, Flyer, Email templates, DF Book, Gift Descriptions and other documents.
  • The Online Tool: The Journey Guide Pro tool integrates with the videos and the Workbook. Each member needs access to the tool. They work on it in synch with the weekly videos.
  • Ongoing Meeting: The members meet regularly to discuss the tool results, get mentored by the team, encourage each other, and get activated in service.

The small group program curriculum has 8 sessions. Each week the leaders follow the Leader Guide schedule; the group meets and individuals work in the Journey Guide PRO online tool, watch a video, and use the Workbook to do assignments and answer discussion questions. In addition, the team works with each member individually to develop them as disciples.

This revolutionary program goes way beyond a typical Bible study, providing biblical teaching, but focusing on application; intentionally developing people into mature disciples who are fulfilling their destinies, serving with joy according to their gifts and calling.

Michael introduces the concept of personal destiny and calling based on God’s unique design of each individual; He’s created you with gifts (natural and spiritual), passions, personality traits, and experiences so that you can fulfill your purpose in His Kingdom expansion on the earth.
An in-depth look at the Eph 4:11 gifts; which have to do with how you are wired for ministry at a core level. Includes the Biblical basis and practical application and function.
An in-depth look at the Rom 12 gifts; which have to do with how you express your gifts. Includes the Biblical basis and practical application and function.
An in-depth look at the I Cor 12 gifts; which have to do with how you are gifted in the more visible “manifestation” gifts. Includes the Biblical basis and practical application and function.
This covers other aspects of your design including what drives you, what sphere of society you’re drawn to, what people group you’re drawn to, etc. And how God has been directing you, and finally, how to define your specific destiny and calling, which we call your dream.
Once you’ve defined your dream, you need to get practical and plan how to fulfill it. This covers the research and planning process so you can create realistic goals.
Regardless of your calling, you need to address character issues that might hinder your progress. This section provides a framework of how to identify and deal with problem areas and grow into maturity.
You can’t make it on this journey alone. This final teaching covers the need of each person to be mentored and to mentor others, and the importance of intergenerational partnership.

Group Meetings

The group meets regularly to discuss their progress.

  • The program is designed for weekly meetings with a suggested format in which the members watch the relevant video, and have time to discuss the results of the tool as they work through it week by week.
  • There would also be other group activities such as prayer, fellowship, etc., but you can structure your meetings however you wish..
